Hibernian v Aberdeen - Scottish cup preview

Hibernian and Aberdeen were drawn together in the fifth round of the Scottish cup, as Hibs overcame their city rivals Hearts 1-0 and the Dons beat Motherwell 2-1 in the replay. Both of the sides have added new faces to the club coming into the tie Hibernian signed winger Matt Done from Barnsley whilst Aberdeen brought in keeper Twardzik from Calcio Como.

Aberdeens season rests upon this game, as we are slowly slipping down the league so a second place finish doesn't look likely. No pressure boys!! To win the game Aberdeen will need to play remarkably better than they did against St Johnstone midweek after being beat 3-1. The good news for Aberdeen, is that Russel Anderson and Gary Naysmith should both be back for the cup clash.

Meanwhile Hibs have injury concerns of their own. On loan McGivern is struggling with an injury whilst Tim Clancy has also been ruled out for the Hibees.

Aberdeen end has sold out for Sunday, the atmosphere in the ground should be electric!
