Hughes never really made much of an impact on the field and did not warm to the hearts of many of the fans and supporters. His performances have been pretty poor in between long inury spells.
When MCinnes took over it looked as if Hughes' time was up at Aberdeen as he didn't finish a game or even get a start under Derek McInnes.
Hughes Joined Aberdeen on 27th January 2012 following a trial with the club. Hughes made only 31 appearances and scored no goals.
