Number 10 - Josh Magennis Goal Of The Season
Coming into this game the Dons still had to score their first goal at home and they weren't to be disappointed as the supporters got 3 goals in one match. Things looked promising as Aberdeen took the lead only for Motherwell to equalise before half time. Motherwell then took the game by storm by scoring 2 goals in quick succession leaving Aberdeen looking bewildered. Aberdeen had 8 minutes to save themselves from their first home defeat of the season. This they did and put on a rare dramatic show on for the last 5 minutes at Pittodrie. McGinn grabbed his first goal for the club with a terrific header. Aberdeen were piling the pressure on and one last chance came following a Langfield punt up the park. The ball bobbled around the Motherwell box and fell kindly to Josh Magennis who smashed home from close range, seeing the Dons fans jump off their seats in excitement. Despite it being another draw for Aberdeen the supporters left the ground with a smile on their face.
Nobody gave Aberdeen a chance going to Celtic Park as we had only had won 1 game in the last 10 games, and that game being a 1-0 victory over Dundee. When Celtic took the lead after only 12 seconds it looked to be a familiar story for Aberdeen. However the teams heads didn't go down and the team spirit still seemed to be strong in the team despite the poor run of form. Aberdeen were holding their own during the first half and proved that by drawing level just before half time. The second half looked promising as the Dons looked sharp and when they took the lead through Magennis. Then Aberdeen were in dreamland as they extended their lead to 1-3 once again through Magennis. Despite the end result that was still a fantastic moment and one of the best of the season.
Number 7- Success Of The Youngsters
Although it was more a collection of moments this has been a ground breaking year for young talent at Pittodrie. First of all when Ryan Fraser appeared on the scene, most people were wandering who the boy was. But week in week out Fraser produced terrific performances showing his skills and attributes whilst taking his fair share of challenges on him. His talent produced interest from down South and unfortunately Aberdeen were unable to hold on to him and Fraser is currently at Bournemouth. Also a big mention has to go to the Aberdeen U20 side who were phenomenal all season and managed to finish second in the league, thanks has to go to Niel Cooper who has one so much work with the youngsters to get to the stage thy are at now. Currently Aberdeen are steadily bringing through young players that ar capable of getting a game for the first team. The future is bright!
Number 6 - Derek McInnes Appointed As Boss
Number 5 - The Shed Is Red
It was a sunny day in the wee city down the road from the granite one and the main event was Dundee Utd v Aberdeen. Over 3000 Aberdeen fans travelled down the road to get behind the Dons, and the Shed was officially Turned Red on the 20th October. The atmosphere was crazy for the full 90 mins and when McGinn scored the equaliser the place went wild. The Dons fans can be proud of themselves.
Number 4 - McGinn Hat Trick at Dens
Once again the Aberdeen fans travelled down to Dundee in their thousands. There was a terrific atmosphere all game and once again the Dons supporters proved why they are one of the best in the country. However the main focus of the game was on Aberdeen's main man Niall McGinn. McGinn bagged his first hat-trick for the club and sent the Aberdeen fans into uproar. By this point McGinn was proving that he could be in contention for player of the year for Aberdeen and the SPL. McGinn applauded the Aberdeen supporters as he left the field with his match ball.
What a brilliant night this was and a special one too. It was the testimonial match for Niel Simpson a long serving servant of the club. However European giants travelled up the road to the granite city to face Aberdeen. Big names were on show as well, De Gea, Anderson, Fletcher, Giggs and Scholes. Pittodrie was packed and a fitting card display saw Niel Simpson delighted. Over 20,000 bodies were crammed into Pittodrie to see the star studded match. Aberdeen proved to be able to hold their own though as Aberdeen won the match 2-1 with goals from Hayes and Shaughnessy. Fantastic for the young lad to get a goal against such a high calibre side. The night was so special and almost had a magical feel to it as the fog came crawling in onto the pitch. It was one of those nights that you could say i was there, as the walls reverberated to the chants of "Stand Free...".
Number 1 - Signing Niall McGinn
Josh Magennis grabbed six goals for Aberdeen this season one of those being Aberdeen's goal of the season. Magennis managed to draw the Dons level by some sublime play. The ball came to his feet and he touched the ball around the corner of the player standing behind him. His pace allowed him to reach the ball and as the keeper came rushing out Magennis simply chipped the ball over his head. Fantastic play, not the best game to watch by far but it was lit up by that goal.
Number 9 - Aberdeen 3-3 Motherwell

Number 8 - 1-3 up at Celtic Park

Number 7- Success Of The Youngsters
Things were not going well at Pittodrie when Craig Brown announced his decision to retire. Our thanks have to go to Brown as he came in and steadied the ship at a difficult time. So when the news came in that it would be McInnes who took over from Brown there was a bit of approval from the fans. McInnes further won the support of the fans as in his interviews stated that he wanted to build a team that the city can be proud of. Also he has proved that he has the drive and determination that the club needs to have success.
Number 5 - The Shed Is Red

Number 4 - McGinn Hat Trick at Dens
Number 3 - 2-1 Victory Over Motherwell In The Scottish Cup
Despite it being a mid-week game you could say that this was another great game to be at as the atmosphere in the Dons end was lit up when a brass band came in to jeer on the team. Chants of "Stuart McCall is a w****r" seemed to unsettle the Motherwell manager as Aberdeen came out 1-2 victors, however the scoreline does not tell the story of how well Aberdeen played on the night. Fallon made a rare appearance to pop up and volley home a fantastic goal. To be fair to him he played really well on the night. The second goal came from Shaughnessy, following brilliant passing play. The night was really a great occasion to be at and one of the best of the season.
Number 2 - Man United Come To Pittodrie
Number 1 - Signing Niall McGinn
In hindsight this was probably the most important moment of the season, yet nobody knew it at the time. The signing of Niall McGinn was overlooked by people and fans who saw him as a Celtic reject. However McGinn had a point to prove and thanked Craig Brown for seeing and believing in him and for kick starting his career once again. McGinn got 21 goals for the Dons this season and broke several personal and club goal scoring records, which he was over the moon with. He showed that he was the most important player in the team and at times carried the team through matches when they looked down and out. A massive thank you from all Dons fans i think would go to Niall McGinn as he has been our talisman this season and for all the previous reasons mentioned. It is fantastic news that McGinn has signed a 2 year extension to his contract meaning we will have him until 2016.
