Aberdeen v Celtic Preview

Aberdeen come into the game with both the players and fans riding high on confidence and self esteem. Aberdeen have been playing some nice football over their last 2 games and are getting their reward for it. In our last 2 matches Aberdeen have scored 5 goals and concded only 2 some record compared to last season where we had not sored at all at this point in the season. Celtic however have only played one SPFL game so far as last week they swanned off and shurked their duty of playing St Mirren to play Liverpool in a pre-season friendly in Ireland.

Aberdeen as well as they are doing have been dealt an injury blow in the way of Barry Robson's knee as the new summer signing is expected to undergo surgery soon, and will miss at least 2 weeks of football. Anderson having taken a knock against Motherwell is fit for th match. Considine and Clark are both still out for this game as well. So no new injury worries for Aberdeen except Barry Robson. Aberdeen having set a marker down at Fir Park last week will be looking to build on top of that and put the champions through their paces when they visit Pittodrie on Saturday. The match on Saturday will show us if Aberdeen are really equipped to battle it out with the big boy of Scottish football.

There is a bumper crowd expected for the game against Celtic and there is only 1000 tickets left to buy. Some achievment buy the hopeful Dons fans. Credit must go to the Aberdeen fans who have so far this season turned out in huge numbers to back their team. There was over 14000 at the opening game of the season and just under 2000 fans travelled to watch Aberdeen weep aside Motherwell. Also Saturdays match is quite a historic day for Aberdeen as it is their 4,500th competitive match.
