Motherwell v Aberdeen Preview

Both Motherwell and Aberdeen come into their second game of the season off the back of a SPFL win. Motherwell started their season off brilliantly after emerging 1-0 victors over Hibernian in a scrappy match that neither team really took control of. Aberdeen however played fantastically well and the 2-1 scoreline against Kilmarnock did not tell the tale of how dominant the Dons were in terms of chances to put the game to bed.

Aberdeen and Derek McInnes have no new injury worries to take into the game against the Steel men, however Barry Robson has been carrying a slight knock throughout the week but should be ready and fit to feature on Sunday. Chris Clark and Andrew Considine still remain out for the Dons. Aberdeen will be looking to build on last weeks result and are now looking to lay down a marker for the season at Fir Park on Sunday.

Although Motherwell won last week they were defeated 1-0 by Kuban Krasnador mid-week and the journey will have taken its toll on the players. Stuart McCall left John Sutton, James McFadden and Ian Vigurs at home to stay fresh for the game against the Dons. Lee Hollis is expected to be back in goal after missing during Motherwell's European Cup tie.

Aberdeen are expected to wear their new away kit for the first time on Sunday as Red and Gold is classed as a colour clash between the two sides.
