Dons Win Energy Cities Challenge Cup

Aberdeen this evening overcame their Norwegian opponents Viking FK to keep the Energy Cities Challenge Cup at Pittodrie!
Derek McInnes went with a very young squad for this evening however they were up to the task and didn't fail the manager. The game took a while to get going but it was Aberdeen who struck first, summer signing Hector put the Dons one nil up. Viking FK then hit Aberdeen twice without reply. Aberdeen didn't let their heads go down and after several change s of personnel Craig Storie the Dons youngster got Aberdeen back on terms. The game looked to be heading for full time as a draw but youngster Campanile had other ideas. With seconds remaining the young man fired Aberdeen into the lead seeing the Dons retain the cup!
