The Dons will be looking to make it four straight wins in a row tomorrow night at Pittodrie when they entertain Partick Thistle. Aberdeen are running high on confidence at the moment and know they can beat Thistle as they have already convincingly done so this season, it just depends whether they put in the commitment and desire they have showed over the past couple of weeks.
Aberdeen will be without both young full backs Robertson and Shaughnessy due to events on Wednesday night at Motherwell. Joe Shaughnessy was shown a straight red card in the cup tie and because it is the League Cup, he is suspended for league games also. Robertson on the other hand was stretchered off after what looked like a twisted knee. It is believed that the 21 year old has torn his Cartilage and could be out for a number of weeks. Both Magennis and Clark remain out but Clark is edging ever closer to a return. Derek McInnes will be looking for a re-run of when both sides met in September. The Dons emerge comfortable 0-3 victors and totally played Thistle off the park. We still sit in third spot and win could potentially take us back up into second place behind Celtic. It may not seem it but this could prove to be quite a pivotal game as a win will keep us pushing for second, but a defeat could see us dragged back down into the main pack of teams vying for a top six place.
Alan Archibald is not short of his own selection problems either though. Midfielder Gary Fraser is suspended while full back Jordan McMillan is still recovering from his thigh injury and is lacking in match fitness. Thistle have only won one game in their last six matches, however that was an impressive 2-1 win over high flying highlanders Inverness CT. Thistle will be hoping to try and take a result from tomorrow's game, let's hope the men in red have enough to take all three points.
