Aberdeen v Inverness CT Preview

As we come into the first of the third round of games, funnily enough, the Dons take on Inverness CT for the third time. Aberdeen welcome the highlanders to Pittodrie as the Dons look for their third win over Caley this season. Picking up three points from the game will be important as we will pull further away from the opposition. Motherwell take on Celtic at Parkhead and remain undefeated this season do the hoops so that will be a stern test for the steelmen.

Derek McInnes and the team will be boosted by the fact that Andrew Considine returns to the squad for Saturday's match after recovering from a calf tear. This is brilliant news as the team were running a bit thin on players in the back line even with new signing Alan Tate coming in. Robertson still remains sidelined, and he is joined by Nicky Low who is serving a two match ban for his red card against Kilmarnock. After an enthralling game at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium as Aberdeen emerged 4-3 victors after a nervy finish, McInnes will hope there is not a re-run of that match tomorrow afternoon. He will hope his team put in the effort and commitment they showed in the first half of that game as they led Thistle by four goals to nil at half time.

Inverness will be bolstered by the signing and return of Greg Tansey to the club from Stevenage. The Englishman has already played for Inverness previously and made 39 appearances for the club. New manager John Hughes will have a head ache as he attempts to pick his team for the forthcoming match due to injuries and suspensions.Gary Warren and Ross Draper are both suspended for the trip to the granite city, while Marley Watkins i an injury doubt. Richie Foran and James Vincent are both also going to be watching from the stands as they are ruled out through injury.

It will be a close game as Inverness' tactics will be to come and hit the Dons on the break. However if the game lives up to the last time the two sides met, it will be a cracker!

Prediction: Aberdeen 2-0 Inverness CT
