Kilmarnock v Aberdeen Preview

Aberdeen and Michael Hector travel to Ayrshire knowing that it will be the big central defenders last game before he returns to his parent club Reading. It will be sad to see him leaving as he has been a key feature to the Dons' success thus far this season. However the three points are still up for grabs and Derek McInnes will be looking to take them as the push for second spot continues.

Coming into this game McInnes has bolstered his squad by signing experienced der Alan Tate on loan from Swansea until the end of the season. Last time out the Dons defeated New Firm rivals Dundee United, a momentus result as we now pull six points clear of United. A good oppertunity to leap into second place has opened due to the Motherwell v Inverness game being called off today. Aberdeen have now recorded an impressive eight wins in our last eleven matches, all down to the sheer work and determination from both staff and players. Considine and Robertson both still remain out while Zola could make a return from injury. New signing Tate will go straight into the squad for the trip to Rugby Park.
