Today Derek McInnes revealed that he is sending three youngsters out on loan during the January transfer window. Lawrence Shankland will join Dunfermline Athletic on loan until the end of this season, while Jamie Masson joins Elgin City and Scott Rumsby to Stranraer. Both also until the end of the season.
Gaining first team experience is vital for these players if they want to enhance their playing careers. All three are fringe players for Aberdeen, and due to the current momentum the first team have picked up there is not a chance for these boys to feature. All three are very highly respected clubs around Scotland and will no doubt give confidence and boost their knowledge of the game to the Dons youngsters.
