Finally the trophy cabinet can be dusted down and a space must be cleared for the Scottish League Cup as Aberdeen have gone and triumphed over Inverness CT in the final. After a goalless 120 minutes the match went to penalties. Rooney kept his cool and fired Aberdeen into the history books, while giving the humungous Red Army following a memory of a lifetime! The 16th March 2014 will be a date to remember for Aberdeen fans around the world, hopefully this is not an isolated cup victory but the gateway to many more.
