As the title of the post states the club have been given a massive boost going into Sunday's league cup final with the news that the management team have extended their stay at Pittodrie. Derek McInnes and Tony Docherty have stretched their time with Aberdeen until the summer of 2017.
Considering what a tough job that the two men undertook at the start of the season to where we are now is just remarkable. Just take Sunday for instance, we are into the clubs first major cup final in 14 years and the two guys have not even been in the job for a year yet. This news will be music to the ears of Dons fans throughout the country (and world) as they thrive on their one love doing so well. McInnes has been the catalyst for an increase in attendances and the now large away following that follows the team around the country. Long may it continue!
