Craig and Archie to Leave Come the End of the Season

It was confirmed today that Craig Brown will retire at the end of the 2012/13 season. Archie Knox  will also leave the club at the end of the season. Despite retiring Brown is not all entirely leaving the club as he has been given a place upstairs on the board as a non executive director.
Craig and Archie came into the club when we were in a dire state of affairs, bottom of the table and with a poor squad, left by Mark McGhee. He has stabled the ship and has made Aberdeen a force to be reckoned with once again.

The Dons board and Craig will immediately begin a search for his successor.

Brown said - "Having reflected long and hard on the situation, I felt the time was right for me to step down as manager. I feel it is important this is out in the public domain as I do not want anything to distract from the playing side over the next few weeks. Archie and I are determined to do whatever we can to help the team finish 2012-13 on a high and we strongly believe we will be leaving a solid base for the next management team to build on".

Craig Browns record so far:  Played-105, Won - 35, Lost - 39, Drawn- 31
