Hibernian v Aberdeen Preview

It will have been a while since both teams took to the field when they emerge out the tunnel tomorrow evening. You would have to look at the table and say both Hibs and Aberdeen's seasons are over (minus the Scottish up final). The game has pretty much become a meaningless one for both teams.

Hibernian will still have a buzz of confidence about the place after they came back from 3-0 down to beat Falkirk 3-4 in a thrilling Scottish Cup semi-final. The final will be in the back of Fenlon's mind and he may consider keeping some key players in reserve such as Griffiths, Claros and Stevenson. Hibernian have a few injury worries with Gary Deegan still receiving treatment on his foot whilst Scott Robertson and Kevin Thompson both have knocks, Ryan McGivern is suspended also. Hibs are still to beat Aberdeen in the league this season, but will look to amend that on Monday.

Aberdeen will now be looking to build for next season now as the season is all but over for the Dons. Derek McInnes will take charge of his first match as Aberdeen boss against Hibernian and it will be interesting to see what he is going to do.  McInnes said that he would like to see some fresh faces invthe team before the season is out. Osbourne could make a return from injury as the Englishmen has been back in training and played a part in the U20s 4-0 victory over St Mirren midweek. The Long term injured players will still be out. The Dons lost out in the battle for the last top six place after they lost to Dundee Utd 1-0. Hopefully Aberdeen can continue their unbeaten league form against Hibs tomorrow, they have taken 7 points off of the Edinburgh outfit this season.

Also remember the game is live on ESPN from 7pm!
