During the early stages of the game versus Malahide United, Chris Clark was substituted as he picked up a knock during the match. One that he was unable to run off. At first the injury did not look to concerning, however it now seems to be more serious than first expected.
Clark has picked up an injury to the knee and is now expected to be out for the opening stages of the new season. This is a big blow for the Aberdeen man as he had just recovered from a very serious ankle injury from last season.
Derek McInnes was also expressing his disappointment in the situation as he has been playing Clark at full back as the squad is short in numbers in that particular area. He has been adapting to the new role well, however the Dons will need to push on without him for the time being. We can only wish Chris Clark a speedy recovery!
