Huntly v Aberdeen Information

Derek McInnes will travel to Huntly on Saturday for their second pre-season match. The first resulted in a 0-3 win over Buckie Thistle, a good start for McInnes and his team. The Dons will make the trip to Huntly on Saturday for another testimonial match and in honour of a player who has given thirteen years of service at Huntly FC and who once again is a big Aberdeen fan.

Russell guild, who is aged 32, has made appeared for his club in a staggering 464 games and scoring 117 times. Quite an achievement at any level. Whilst being at the club Guild has won a wide range of medals and trophies and hopes that his side can beat the Dons, as that would beat the rest of his achievements.

A statement from the club said: “Huntly FC are delighted to see Russell’s lengthy service recognised with a well-deserved testimonial match. He has shown a great attitude both on and off the park over the last fourteen years and shown himself to be one of the best midfield players to grace the Highland League during that time.”

There will be a familiar face in the Huntly line up on Saturday. Former Aberdeen defender Michael Hart had originally signed a short term contract with the black and gold’s back in February but after featuring ten times and scoring twice, he has committed himself to the club for another year and the 33 year old is set to go up against the Dons on Saturday.
