Manger Derek McInnes added his thoughts on the move -  "I think the loan move will be really beneficial for Declan, allowing him to play regular football at first division level, which will be a great standard this season. We're confident he'll do well and come back in January ready to force his way in to the first team.

"Alloa can give Declan what we can't at the moment and after speaking to Paul Hartley he's really keen to get him on board. He really sees Declan having a positive impact on his team which is great to hear. Alloa play the game the right way and I know he will be in good hands there with Paul and his staff."
