Partick Thistle v Aberdeen Preview

Aberdeen will be looking to put behind them the last 3 matches where they should have at least taken three points from a possible nine. Instead they took one. The Dons travel to Glasgow on Saturday to face a well organised and goo attacking Partick Thistle side. Alan Archibald has so far done a terrific job at the Jags and looks to continue that. However Aberdeen will be hoping that does not happen and will be looking to take three points from the game. A series of injury issues for the Dons however could make the task all the more difficult.

Aberdeen have a severe set of injuries. Chris Clark and Willo Flood remain out while Barry Robson will miss out as he is just not quite ready to return to action. Niall McGinn who was away on International duty with Northern Ireland picked up an ankle injury and will miss out. The other bad news for Aberdeen is that Russel Anderson fractured his hand during training and will also be left out of the squad. There is good news for Aberdeen though, Considine has recovered from his leg break against Dundee last season and will be fit for the match, whilst Johnny Hayes will also be back in action following the concussion he suffered against Alloa.

Partick Thistle only have one major doubt for the game on Saturday an that is defender Conrad Balatoni who is suffering from a hamstring injury. Isaac Obsbourne who left Aberdeen during the summer and then joined the Glasgow side could make a start against his former club.

Despite the depleted squad that the Dons will need to take down the road with them hopefully they can do the business and come away with all three points!
