On a week that Josh Magennis had looked forward to so much after showing his delight at getting his first call up to the Northern Ireland squad not through a call-off he has been hit an injury blow. The striker is having a minor knee problem which was aggrovated at the weekend against Ross County.
Magennis will visit a specialist tomorrow to seek his opinion on the matter and could possibly face surgery on his knee. It is expected he has a floating cartilage that is aggrovating his knee. As a result the Northern Irish striker has had to call off for his national team and is expected to be sidelined for up to 2 weeks.
