The 35-year-old said:
“We need to believe that we can get to
finals.
“Without being arrogant we have to believe we can be as good
as we can be and be successful.
“Top players at top clubs try to win everything they enter
into.
“Teams like Manchester United want to win every cup they are
involved in.
“That is the mentality we need to get at Aberdeen.”
On paper the fixture does not look good for McInnes and his team as Aberdeen have failed to take a single point in their last 17 trips to the green side of Glasgow. It is different in cups though, league form and records do not matter. It is about what the players can give for that 90 minutes, also the they have nothing to lose, we are the underdogs in the tie so can go out and play with no fear.
