As the Dons lifted the League Cup Trophy on Sunday, as part of the celebratory proceedings the tannoy played "Don't you want me" the 80s song by the Human League. However Aberdeen fans have adapted the song for the men in red, changing the lyrics to"Peter Pawlett Baby, Peter Pawlett OOOHH!". Pawlett who did not take part in the final was paraded on his team mates shoulders while the song was belted out by 40,000 Dons fans.
Now though the Aberdeen fans have taken to social networking sites and have trends such as "#peterpawlettbaby" trending in the UK on twitter. The most impressive however is the insane amount of downloading has been going on over itunes. Due to the humungous number of Reds downloading the hit song from the 80s it has reached number 5 in the charts, with ambitions of it hitting number 1 soon enough! If you have not already done so get on to itunes and download it... you can change the words to "PETER PAWLETT BABY!"
