New Contracts For First Team And Youngsters

Three new contracts have been agreed within the Aberdeen first team while the Under 20's also see some of their players extend their time at Aberdeen. It is good to see McInnes is getting things sorted reasonably early as the fans view this as he knows what he is doing and has a clear vision for next season.

Russell Anderson, Barry Robson and Nicky Low have all been offered and signed a one year contract extension. For the first two this may well be and probably will be their last season in football as the veterans are reaching an age where it is hard to maintain such high levels of fitness that the modern day game demands. This is excellent news as both Anderson and Robson were supreme throughout the majority of last season, although Barry did look rather jaded come the end of the season. It is good news for the fans that the experienced players have signed on again and will offer that stability in the side once more throughout the course of the 2014-15 season.

Nicky Low came on leaps and bounds last season and was no less than brilliant when called upon, especially having the bottle to take a penalty in the League Cup final. It is good that he has signed on as he has the potential to be a great player and playing alongside men like Robson and Anderson will only aid his future career.

Several youngsters have also signed contract deals in the way of Kieran Gibbons. Michael Rose, Marcus Campanile and Craig Murray. All four of them have signed a new one year deal seeing them at Pittodrie until the end of next season.
