As the draw for the third qualifying round was made on Friday everybody held their breath in anticipation as we awaited to find out who Aberdeen would ply in the next round. That is only if we progress of course. Real Sociedad are the team who will play the winners of Aberdeen versus Groningen.
Real Sociedad graced the Champions League with their presence last season. That alone shows the task that either us or our Dutch counterparts face next Thursday. The Red Army will be praying that the team can get the job finished in the Netherlands so a possible trip to the Iberian peninsula is on the cards.
However we must first concentrate on Groningen as the tie is still well and truly in the balance and could currently tip either way from what we saw at Pittodrie and Thursday night.
