Aberdeen v Dundee Utd Preview

So it's the start of a new season and as ever new found optimism surges through every club around the country. But we are looking at the Dons and we are being tipped by journalists to go one better this season and pull out the bag something remarkable. Some are even suggesting that Aberdeen will be challenging Celtic for the title. Let's take it one game at a time though. 

We welcome Dundee United to Pittodrie, well I say welcome... Anyway the season for the Dons gets underway this afternoon and another healthy crowd is expected to turn out to get right behind the Dons to aid them on to victory. This resurgence of Aberdeen is a breath of fresh air for Scottish football with a slick style of play and a big crowd at their back.

McInnes does have a selection issue coming into the match as Hayes and Andersin are suspended, but we have the depth to replace these men. 

If we play anywhere as good as we did on Thursday night, it is safe to say that will go a long way to defeating a brand new looking Dundee United team. 

Not much can be said about Dundee Utd as I am not a Dundee United fan and have not really followed them through pre season. Today we will see whether our six competitive Europa league fixtures have paid off. Something to keep in mind is that this is Dundee United's first competitive match and hopefully that will begin to tell towards the end of the game.
