Can Dons Stage Historical Comeback?

The answer to that question as an optimistic Dons fan is yes, but to achieve that Aberdeen are going to have to put in a masterful 90 minutes with each player, performing out of their skin. A sell out Pittodrie is certainly going to be a major factor in trying to aid the Dons try and get back into this Europa League tie. Around 21,000 Aberdeen fans are expected to turn up for the game and if you think about the noise generated with half of that number, the atmosphere is going to be truly magical.

Derek McInnes has no injury worries for the match versus Real Sociedad which is always a bonus. Also on another positive note, Clark Robertson is back playing and featured in Aberdeen XI's win over ElginCity earlier in the week. Great to see him back in action.

McInnes however has a dilemma on his mind as he needs to create a plan that is going to allow the Dons to get back into the game. As he says it's only half time in the tie but the obvious fact is that Aberdeen need to score. Do we go all out and get an early goal? Do we sit back and look to steer the game into the last twenty minutes goalless and then throw everything at them.

These are the questions that will be rattling about McInnes' head, but if it was one man you wanted to answer those questions it would be Mr McInnes. In McInnes we trust.

Obviously it is going to be a momentous challenge for the players to turn round a two goal defecit, yet stranger things have happened in football. Even if we do go out, there is no shame or loss of dignity bowing out to a La Liga side.

Aberdeen have announced they will be handing out 5,000 free vuvuzelas at the game tonight to add to the already cracking atmosphere. These Real Sociedad players are in for a "real" shock when they take to the pitch come twenty to eight.

This is our home, this is our team, let's make some noise and let's create history. COYR!!!
