Both sides in this encounter are still searching for their first win of the year, which is just not good enough considering the calibre of the current Dons side. Dons fans will be at least expecting a comfortable win, as we can not see another home game get away from our grasp. 3 points is a must at Pittodrie on Friday night.
The Aberdeen squad should be strengthened by the return of Ryan Jack and Gary Naysmith. Both players helped the U20s squad earn a 3-3 draw with Falkirk U20s and have both their recovery from injury. New signing Twardzik made his first appearance in a red shirt also in the game on Tuesday afternoon. A victory for Aberdeen could see us move up to 4th place, but a defeat or a draw will only continue the disastrous start to the year for the Dons and Craig Brown.
Dundee have become accustomed to losing in the top flight and are just taking every game as it comes now hoping to get a victory here and there. They sit 15 points adrift from 11th place and it is now impossible for them to win the league.
