Stewart Milne promised Aberdeen fans that the club will survive and be safe even if there is no league reconstruction. The reason behind this is purely because the television and broadcaster companies will only invest in Scottish football if there is a shake up to the league format. The broadcasters want to televise exciting games, meaningful games, not games such as Hibernian v Aberdeen that is live on ESPN on Monday the 22nd that mean nothing. Without the TV money clubs will not have as much income as before, and Aberdeen use the television money to put towards paying off debt. Despite that Milne reassured fans the club will be safe.
According to sources the next club to follow the route of The Rangers and Dunfermline would be Kilmarnock as they could not cope with life in the SPL without the television money.
