Commons Aware Of McGinn Threat

Celtic come into the match on Saturday still unbeaten in the League and they sure will be looking to keep that run going. However Kris Commons believes that Niall McGinn could be the main threat for Aberdeen and be in with a chance to end that unbeaten run for Celtic.

McGinn of course had a lengthy spell at the Champions but never really found his feet. Since joining Aberdeen, McGinn has been a revelation for Aberdeen. He netted 21 goals last season, and has recently hit a purple patch seeing him score three times to take his tally up to six for the season.

Commons has warned his team mates that they will need to keep an eye out for Niall throughout the match as he can be a real thorn in the side for teams when he is in the mood. Aberdeen will be looking to bounce back from that unexpected defeat to Hearts whilst also wanting avenge their 2-0 defeat to Celtic at Pittodrie. Aberdeen have everything to play for on Saturday. A point would be good but a win would be magnificent considering Celtic still haven't lost in the league thus far.

Commons said - “Niall’s a good player. When I first came in he was one who was on the verge of doing well in the first-team but never really had a chance to break in.

“He had to move on to get regular football so he could progress his international career. He’s a top player and I think he’s found his home in Aberdeen.

“He’s playing well there and has obviously settled. He’s one player we’ll definitely have to watch out for on Saturday.”
