The semi-final venues for the League Cup were announced earlier on today. The venues that have been allocated to the cup are Easter Road and Tynecastle. Aberdeen versus St Johnstone will be held at Tynecastle while the other semi final between Hearts and Inverness CT will be played across the capital at Easter Road.
The dates were also decided today and the Dons have managed to secure the 1st of February to do battle with the Saints to try and stake their place in the League Cup final. The first of February is a Saturday and the match has been given a 3pm kick off also.
All of this bodes well for Dons fans as they have been given time to get down to Edinburgh in time even with heavy traffic to watch their team fight it out to get through. Football on a Saturday in general just creates a better atmosphere as well as everybody can get caught up in the occasion without worrying about the dreaded Monday morning!
