Dons Take Action To Extend Hector Deal

Today Don's boss Derek McInnes has publicly let it known that the club and the manager want Michael Hector to stay at the club and extend his loan spell. The Englishman is on loan until the end of next month which would see him return to his Parent club Reading FC in January.

McInnes told media he has been in regular contact with Royals boss Nigel Adkins and the man in charge of Reading has said that he will not sanction any loan deal until Michael Hector's long term future has been decided at the club. Hector is out of contract at the end of the season at Reading but has previously expressed how he would love to stay at the North East club, and that opinion is still very much apparent by the looks of things.

Hector has been a strong and vital component player to Aberdeen over the course of the season so far and has played a key part in the nine clean sheets that the Don's defence has wrapped up so far. Extending his loan spell would be a great piece of business for the club and would only strengthen the squad. Here is hoping that Reading manager Adkins sees it as a good move for the youngster and allows him to stay on until the end of the season and hopefully try and help the Dons lift some silverware!
