Today will be a day to remember for Aberdeen FC fans of a certain generation as they will witness for the first time their team parading their newly won trophy through the streets of Aberdeen. Mind you many Dons fans of an older generation will savour the experience as it is the first time in 19 years a cup winning team has paraded the trophy through the city. Thousands of fans are set to line the streets to cheer on the players as they parade their 2014 league cup success on the open top bus.
Following a positive turn out for the match against Kilmarnock yesterday this will be the third time in a week a mass gathering of Dons fans has taken place, however this time round it is not to see our Team's slick attacking football, but to get a glimpse of the League Cup trophy on the open top bus. The weather is to be generally sunny all day which will provide a warm welcome to the Aberdeen players if there was not already going to be one (which there will be). The message today is to go out and have fun!
Also later today, us Aberdeen fans will be able to found out if the campaign to get "Don't you want me" by the Human League to number one has been successful.
