As transfer deadline day is featuring moves such as Falcao to Manchester United and Welbeck to Arsenal, however the footballing world stood still as Aberdeen confirmed that full back Joe Shaughnessy will join the Bairns on loan until the beginning of January.
This is probably a positive move for Shaughnessy as he will get the much needed game time that is vital to improving as a player. He is not currently getting that at Aberdeen as he is slightly out of the fold in terms of breaking into the first team.
Hopefully Shaughnessy will be able to help Falkirk in gaining promotion to the Premiership but also he will be initially remembered by Falkirk fans as one of the players in the Dons team that demolished them in last season's league cup.
Shaughnessy's twitter profile picture was actually him slotting that goal away against Falkirk so that was quickly changed by the player.
All the best to him and hopefully he comes back an improved player.
